NEGATIVE COMMENTS YOU ARE LIKELY TO HEAR ABOUT PURSUING A RUSSIAN WOMAN FOR ROMANCE
When your friends or relatives find out that you are considering a Russian woman for a potential mate, you are likely to get a negative reaction.
You will hear comments like, “Russian women are just using you to get to America. Once they get here, get married, and get their green card, they’ll take your money and leave you behind.”
Would you be surprised to learn that Russian women seek men all over the western world: Western Europe, Scandinavia, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as many other countries.
In some ways, Russian women would prefer to emigrate to Europe rather than America. Europe is closer to Russia and visits home are less expensive and less problematic. Europe is more similar to Russia in lifestyle and culture than America is.
Many Americans are fat and Russian women are deathly afraid of getting fat! So don’t think that American citizenship by itself is going to put you on the top of the pile as far as Russian women are concerned.
A Russian woman is looking for the right MAN, not the right country. She is likely to go wherever she finds that man.

Most of the negativity stems from ignorance. If you want to, you can be cynical about just about everything in life. You can make cynical comments about love, marriage, bosses, spouses, children, doctors, lawyers, policemen, clergy -- just about anything in life.
I’ve made cynical comments before and many other people have as well. It’s easy and it’s fun. Frequently, the comments are humorous.
The reason the comments are funny is because there is an element of truth to them. People are human and humans make mistakes. Sometimes they do things for less than ideal reasons.

This is not isolated to Russian women. A recent survey showed that the number one consideration American women are looking for in marriage is a man’s income. Similar studies in Britain have yielded the same results. So much for warm, fuzzy, romantic ideals!
Personally, I don’t think that this is as horrible as it sounds. A woman wants to make sure that she and her offspring are secure and well taken care of. This is as much an unconscious instinct as a conscious desire.
When it comes to economic and emotional security, all women want the same thing.
