Though Russia is becoming a modern and westernized country the traditional
way of dating is still kept there. In other words, men are more initiative in

Russian men are skillful in courting women. Men open a door for a woman and

Average marriage age is 18-25 years old as for girls, so for guys. More
frequently people mix and start dating as students of colleges. Though,
acquaintance is quite possible in such places as a disco, bar, restaurant or

Usually a period of dating takes a year or two. Though,
it depends on individuals. Civil marriages are growing more and more popular

Russian girls are sensitive, romantic and affectionate. They
are not too selective, demanded and capricious. They open, sincere and
responsive with beloved men. Most of Russian women look for romance, partnership
and friendship in relationship. Many of Russian girls consider marriage as an
equal partnership of two loving people. They are the best friends, wives,
mothers and lovers to their men. They enjoy fulfilling the role of a Woman, the
initial part of which is to be a keeper of a “home hearth”. And doing this,
Russian women were always highly respected by their husbands and took part in
